PEACEFUL BEGINNINGS MONTESSORI ACADEMY

  • PEACEFUL BEGINNINGS MONTESSORI ACADEMY offers early learning facilities that are constructed with children in mind. Child size furnishings and equipment are a part of the learning environment. Our Playground is safe and well equipped for large motor development.

  • Our caring staff enjoys children and understands how young children learn and grow. Staff members are friendly and considerate of each child. The childcare staff is professionals who continue their early childhood training through in-service education.

  • PBMA staff helps children feel good about themselves, their activities, and other children. Our staff is gentle, consistent, and flexible to the needs of the child.

  • The child/staff ratios provide enough staff to foster each child's educational, physical, personal, social, and spiritual development, while nurturing all children in a well planned program. Ratios meet the guidelines set out by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

  • Our staff is adequately trained in first-aid and CPR. Staff has gone through FBI checks; this is provided for the safety of all children.

  • Emergencies are minimized through emergency procedures fire drills, smoke detectors, and doors leading directly outside.

  • We realize a quality early childhood program can greatly enhance the early, formative years. Experiences during these crucial years will last a lifetime.

  • Each child's journey is filled with a series of Sensitive Periods. These creative moments are when children show a spontaneous interest in learning. A Sensitive Period is a limited time span in which a child demonstrates a strong attraction and ability to acquire a specific skill or to learn a particular aspect of his/her environment. The stage of attraction cannot be learned later with the same ease and depth that is provided by these periods of sensitivity. This is why it is crucial to give children as much vocabulary and exposure to various concepts as possible at the early stages of development.
